Andrew and Dave are feeling as tired as a fifty-seven year old Robert Mitchum looks in the 1975 neo-noir FAREWELL, MY LOVELY, but that doesn't stop the duo from giving Dick Richard's adaptation of Raymond Chandler's classic novel its full day in court.

Next time: How much darker can noir get? So, SO much darker.

All music by Andrew Kannegiesser.

Following HEAT producer Art Linson, Andrew and Dave take a trip through bat country and end up watching WHERE THE BUFFALO ROAM. The film is ostensibly a comedic biopic based on the writings of Hunter S. Thompson, though Andrew and Dave (particularly Andrew) have some words to say about that.

Next time: a return to 1995!

What is it like being in the loving embrace of the Pax Bisonica? It might be like listening to Andrew and Dave discuss STREET FIGHTER, the 1994 video game adaptation from writer-director Steven E. De Sourza!

Next Episode: Andrew and Dave follow Wes Studi to the mean streets of Los Angeles, where thieves and cops can grab cups of coffee together.

Dave, Dru and Andrew get together to bid adieu to 24 Panels Per Second, the podcast about comic books on film. We discuss films we wish we'd gotten to over the podcast's seven years, the previous year in comic book cinema, and share some reflections on how we've changed since we started the show way back in January 2011.

Dave and Andrew will be back in 2018 with a brand new podcast, so stay tuned for further details on that.

Warner Bros. had the money and the budget to erase Henry Cavill's moustache and still make their release date for JUSTICE LEAGUE, but we here at 24 Panels couldn't do the same in the face of overwhelming Skype obstacles. Thank heavens it's our penultimate episode, and (we hope) the final one to be recorded long distance! In any case, Dave and Dru unite the two to discuss acclaimed comic book film auteur Zass Wheyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE, the culmination of Warner Bros' DCEU (I think that stands for Detective Comics Execrable Universe, don't @ me).
